Testimonials

"We started getting private lessons from Joe only a month ago. Already I have noticed a BIG difference from both of my sons in every aspect of their wrestling. He has worked hard to clean up bad habits and teach them new and effective moves as well. I have had the privilege of being around some very accomplished wrestlers for the last 18 years and with no disrespect to the others, Joe is by far the best. His attention to details and training methods are second to none. Thanks a lot Joe. Looking forward to this upcoming season."
- Rick Jakob, Kingsport TN, Kemmerer Hammer Wrestling

"Coach Kemmerer headlined our Ken Chertow Weekend Warrior camp in Lake City, Fl. He showed great technique that can be used consistently and effectively. Our wrestlers, at Columbia High School, learned from the best with coach Kemmerer and we look forward to having him back soon. If you have the chance to host a clinic with coach Kemmerer, take it! You won't find many better."
-Kevin Warner, Head Wrestling Coach, Columbia H.S. Lake City FL

"Joe trained several boys from my team at a Ken Chertow camp and also put on a clinic for my team. In my 25 years of coaching Joe ranks with the best that I have experienced.  He is an amazing teacher and world class technician."
 - Tom Belles, Head Wrestling Coach, Coughlin H.S. Wilkes-Barre PA

"I met Coach Kemmerer while at a Chertow Camp last summer and then again while my sons attended a second camp later that year. I don't know a lot about wrestling but I do know how to identify talented coaches. I instantly saw a difference in the aggressiveness my 8 year old showed on the mat after the camps and Joe had a major role in instilling this in him. He is very methodical and clear in his approach and is able to keep the boys attention span even after hours of wrestling. He is a technician and was able to identify the bad habits in the young wrestlers and was quick to walk them through the fundamentals of how to do the moves correctly. I particularly liked that he was able to maintain a high energy level through hours of training which was a well set example to all the young wrestlers who wanted fade away towards the end of the sessions. He is a straight shooter who doesn't promote moves that only work in drills but rarely work on the mat. I cannot say enough about his ability to coach and to communicate with the boys from the elementary level up to college level. We are welcoming him into our High School and Youth Clubs for 3 solid days of training and feel confident that he will set the tone for our upcoming season."

An update about National Duals from a wrestler's mother...
"Braxton did very well this weekend. He won 6 of 9 and three of the kids he beat were state champs from Florida, Indiana and Georgia.  The 3 he lost to won all their matches, so it's not like he lost to nobodies.  The Tennessee coaches said that he really surprised them and he wrestled the best on the team.  They also loved his "Killer Switches!" He picked bottom every time and got away every single time. With that being said, we want to thank you for teaching him how to get off bottom.  He also kept getting headlock thrown, and every time, he would roll with it and pin them, thanks to you also.  After seeing him wrestle this weekend and knowing he's only been with you a short while, has us all extremely excited to see what you can do with him for next year.  Thank you so very much!!!!!"
-Dawn Mann, Knoxville TN, Kemmerer Hammer Wrestling

"As Head Coach for the YMCA program in New Hampshire, my son and I met Joe at the Chertow wrestling camp.  His organization and leadership immediately shined through and we both had a great week. My son has been working the techniques Joe taught us and I have passed it on to my team.  The changes are evident in large part because of Joe's incredible attention to detail and overall wrestling intelligence. Any wrestler would be lucky to receive instruction form Coach Kemmerer and we look forward to seeing him at the next camp."
